Anybody know anything about Time Machine?

Well, you made me look. I booted up my MacBook, shared the HDD with my MBP, mounted the disk on the MBP, went into TM clicked Change Disk and set the MB as the backup destination. It created MacBookPro_001ff3d3b0f6.sparsebundle and it's backing up as I type this. I guess your answer is yes.
