Yes I went. No, didn't have that great of a time. Girl I took as a "friend" with some -- in my mind, HA -- possibility of becoming more...ended up in bed with the captain of the basketball team that night. This I felt was just plain bad form. I did get propositioned by another gal-friend of mine at the "after party" (at a fancy hotel) but she was drunk and I politely refused to take advantage of that situation.

No, and no. I was a long way from being ready to go out on a date, never mind a big production like a prom. I can't imagine spending hundreds of dollars to feel even more acutely awkward, self-conscious and out of place would've worked out well.
