The guy I have been talking to about my iPhone has sent me an email but the sent location looks like it is from russia, even though he is a comcast.net addy? what gives?

It could be as simple as the clock on his computer being set to Russia time, for whatever reason. Also, if he is legit, it's probably not good etiquette to post his e-mail address in a public forum.

He is russian, we have lots in the area he says he is from.

The (full) headers will give you a better idea of where the message originated.
That only tells you what time zone the sender's computer is set for (I think -- though it could be the server's setting, which would pretty much tell me that the server ain't one of Comcast's).
