Need to quote a PowerPoint Presentation. How much to charge?
#1
Anyone have any advice on HOW MUCH to charge for a powerpoint presentation? It's about 100 slides and mostly text. I could just give her my hourly rate and tell her it would take about "X" number of hours... However, I need a little advice on how to quote this job because there might be 2 more to follow in the next month...

Thanks!

I'm a proofreader/editor and occasionally check PowerPoint presentations written in English by non-native speakers. I always bill by the hour, because jobs can vary widely, even if they have the same number of slides.

Be sure to charge for pain and suffering.

The going rate for PowerPoint in NYC is $30 - $40/hr. I'm not sure where you're located though. If the final total of hours x $35/hr ends up looking like too much, try making a whole proposal for all three projects and work in a small discount.

I hope this helps.

Hmmm... I talked to her last night and "she" didn't e-mail me the word document yet... She wants to know...

1) Hourly Rate
2) How Many Slide I can do in a hour or Cost Per Slide
3) Hourly Rate to do Research "if" there is photo or some art that is needed
4) How quickly I can do this (time line).

Oh, and I need the quote first thing Friday however, I don't have anything to look at yet... Should be interesting...

I'm sure that I can get the job done quickly. But, seeing I'll be doing it in the evening it "might take 2-3 nights.
