ipod AV cable: Update & problem

Yesterday Microman started a thread regarding sources for an av cable for a video ipod. Someone mentioned Radio Shack, so I headed down there and bought a 10 ft. Camcorder AV cable which has the proper cable connectors. ($14.95) I know you can't go by the color coding (red, white, yellow) and I connected things up. I can get sound through both channels but no video on my Sony tv front jacks. any clue how I get this to work?

OK. I've solved the problem myself. Here's the link:

This works fine for videos but will not allow you to show photos that are on the ipod. To do that, evidently you must synch through itunes first.
