recommend humidifier?

We need a new one. Our daughter doesn't like the noise the old one makes in her room. She says "Turn that one off. Too much noise. Need to buy new one." I know you cannot get one that is absolutely silent but can anyone recommend a very quiet one?

I should mention I'm looking for a warm mist humidifier.

Do you and your wife agree that the humidifier is too loud? I'd be hesitant about replacing something simply because your little girl is complaining about the noise, especially if you don't think her complaint is justified. Even then, I'd probably be very careful about the reason I gave for explaining why it was replaced. When children are her age, you have to make sure they don't start thinking they have a lot of control over things like this.

I would say yes, she is trying to exert some control but also yes, the humidifier can make quite a racket. Its at least 2 years old and has good days and bad days.
