Avatar in Top 3 December film openings, but could flake out

Top 3 December openings:

1. LOTR3 ($34.5M, Wednesday, 2003)
2. I Am Legend ($30.1M, Friday, 2007)
3. Avatar ($27M, Friday, 2009)

They were predicting $75-100M originally for Avatar's weekend gross.
The snow storm from NY to NC will most likely impact the box office...
