Kodak has been in digital imaging from pretty early on, so it's not surprising that they would have some fundamental patents.

Seems from the story, a lot of other companies are already paying them royalty, and even Samsung has signed a cross-license deal with them.

Maybe they just got greedy when they saw the money Apple was making on the iPhone ...

The ITC complaint centers on a method for extracting a still image while previewing it in the camera's LCD screen.

Wonder if that also concerns how stills are captured from Photo Booth video on laptops?

some of the earliest digital cameras were Kodaks. Even Apple's Quicktake was manufactured by Kodak, IIRC, Kodac DC50 anyone? I still have a DC120 at work that functions.

I saved up all summer to buy a kodak camera. It broke day after warraty peeriod. I hope kodak loses. Should I let it go? Maybe but screw kodak!

Kodak is on the ropes, if Apple drags it out the suit may outlast the plaintiff.

Or Apple could just buy the patents from Kodak and then charge everyone else.
