Agree with you on the the 400 MHz G4 desktop. Whichever browser I use, there are major bugs popping up left and right. Funny, my old 400 Pismo worked beautifully with 10.3.x.
Will give the Wife's 1GHz DVI G4 Powerbook a shot at playing DVD on a 19 inch HANNS flat screen LCD this weekend.

Ah, I get it now. I thought you were indicating this computer was actually another PowerBook (well, at first I thought Power Mac, and then I thought another PowerBook based on the last thread you referenced). I should sleep a full night's sleep before commencing with internet posting.
Oh, and assuming you are referring to the 12" 1GHz model from the other thread, of course the max RAM on that Mac is 1.25GB. Cheerfully ignore the references I made to 1GB and PowerBook in my last post. As to the Power Mac, 2GB RAM should be correct if you have a Sawtooth or Mystic (both have AGP video), but not a Yikes! (PCI video). The Yikes! only supports 1GB RAM. Boy do I feel better now.
Yes, for the DVI PowerBook, you need a DVI cable to connect the external LCD to the mini-dvi to DVI dongle of your PowerBook. Do you still have your mini-DVI to DVI adapter? If not, do you have a mini-dvi to VGA adpater? Then you could use a VGA cable from the PowerBook dongle to the LCD.
