Garmin needs to reduce the price much more than that. Cell phones are killing them and I use that much more now than my Garmin, which I actually prefer but ya gotta get it out from underneath the seat, plug it in, stick it on the windshield, turn it on, wait for satellites, program in the destination, then I'm there.

Agreed. We were driving around Chicago tonight, and the Garmin completely misjudged the traffic and had us on a stupid route. I pulled out my Cliq, brought up Google Maps w/ traffic and found a much better route in 2 minutes.

Also, I believe that lifetime updates are only good on one device, so if you have an older GPS it might not be worth it. The last time this came up, I ended up buying a newer, faster GPS with a better antenna, rather than going for the lifetime updates on my 5 year old unit.

Now I just use the iPhone for a GPS
