My wife had a wire haired fox terrier. One of her litter mates was at her people's home alone. A burglar broke in. When the people got home, they found a pool of blood in front of the broken door, and the dog's muzzle was covered in blood. The burglar was gone, leaving a trail. The dog ate steak with her humans.
Wire haired terriers are very protective dogs.

My father raised wire-hair terriers many years ago and i remember they were fierce fighters.
one time a large dog foolish enough to wander on to our property got into a fight with one of our terriers. The terrier grabbed on the dog's neck and wouldn't let go. My mom had to go out and dump a bucket of water on them to break it up and rescue the other dog before it died. |
