An extremely sad day in my little town
#1
Four of our city police officers were murdered this morning. This is incredibly sad and very scary.

I'm so sorry. Police officers do so much, for so little. They are heroes.

That was bold. They "must" find the murderer. We had 4 officers gunned down here in Oakland a short while ago and it's devastating.

Were they all head-shots? It said they were all wearing vests. Didn't café staff have anything to offer?

Was going to post it when I saw where it was.
This "spokesman" should not be anywhere near spokesman-ing:

My cousin was working on opening a Forza in Gig Harbor last year but his partners backed out.

Wow. A whole $10,000.00 reward offered for four dead Police Officers. Sounds like the city is going all out to solve this.

Sadly, it seems as if all four officers were in "Condition White" and it cost them dearly.

Condolences out to the family members, co-workers and community members.

I truly hope that the "perp" isn't taken alive.

Wow! How bizarre???

Mavis' granddaughter's husband is a police officer in Anaheim, CA and my daughter-in-law was with the Torrance PD before she became a mom. I'm glad she's not working anymore.

Having someone in the family in law enforcement has always made me kind of nervous, but stories like this make you think about how fragile our lives are. My thought was "in today's world," but I think it was always this way since forever.

You just don't know when it will all end.

I read about that this morning. If there is justice, it won't make it to a trial.

I go thru Lakewood a few times a year to see my doc at the VA at American Lake. Seems there are two Lakewoods -- the one of big houses and lovely gardens and comfortable suburban life, and the down-at-the-heels one where life is hard for a lot of folks. The Lakewood PD was once a regular for Fox's Cops show, but quit doing it because the city council thought it gave Lakewood a "bad image." You can guess where the pressure on the council and PD came from.

My heart goes out to the families of those officers.

Meanwhile the "teabaggers" think we should cut taxes some more, as though adequate staffing of police and fire departments just appears out of thin air.
