New Microsoft Store opened in my town. (Yeah, just in time for my Christmas shopping!)

In what looks to be an Apple store with I Microsoft logo instead, Microsoft opened a dedicated store in the Oak Brook Mall yesterday.

I don't get it?

so, when the first Apple stores opened did they have to have celebrities and giveaways on hand to get 'hundreds' of people to wait in line?

I was at the Glendale Galleria when the Apple store opened (I think it was the first retail one) and it definitely was an event! Crowded, line to get in, local government people. I wouldn't say that it was a celebrity magnet (it was 2001) and if I recall the ipod hadn't been released yet or was very new.

oh, i have no doubt it was an event. i just wondered if Apple had to entice bribe people to be there.

Don't look now, but your town also may soon be blessed with:
  • Nuclear Waste Site
  • Super-Max Prison
