Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords Shot at Arizona Event
Sounds more likely that this pot smoking, communist manifesto loving lefty would be reading the daily kos than sarapalin.com

He probably didn't watch a lot of Hannity and Beck, or listen to Rush or Savage much either.

More evidence that the Dem party has been taken over by far left wackos, in that they are targeting blue dog Dems.

Time for middle-of-the-road Dems to take back their party.

Very, very sad.

The Daily Kos's reference is not to using firearms so is not even remotely close to the symbology and rhetoric used by Kelly and Palin. Also note that the daily kos is nothing more than a left wing blog, not a candidate for office or supposed media outlet with access to the public airwaves. Black Tea's comparison is a grasping at straws FAIL.

Do tell. There's no evidence whatsoever that he is a "lefty". The evidence thus far points only to him being a wacko.

When does the degree of maliciousness cross the line between free speech and reach the level of screaming fire in a crowded theatre? We don't seem to have a problem imposing limits on the media when sexual content is in play but hate speech gets a free pass. Should the media at least be held accountable for outright lying or grossly distorting the truth? Apparently not. Its endemic on both sides of the political spectrum, but the right holds the low ground for repugnance. Combine this with a culture of militancy, easy access to high-powered weapons, and poor mental health screening, we shouldn't be surprised by such horrifying events as took place yesterday. Appalled yes, surprised, no.

If you think this sort of unfettered crap-flinging can't get out of control stop and remember the Rwandan Genocide and the role that media played in that nightmare:

From late October 1993, the RTLM repeatedly broadcast themes developed by the extremist written press, underlining the inherent differences between Hutu and Tutsi, the foreign origin of Tutsi, the disproportionate share of Tutsi wealth and power, and the horrors of past Tutsi rule. The RTLM also repeatedly stressed the need to be alert to Tutsi plots and possible attacks. It warned Hutu to prepare to "defend" themselves against the Tutsi.[16] After April 6, 1994, authorities used the RTLM and Radio Rwanda to spur and direct killings, specifically in areas where the killings were initially resisted. Both radio stations were used to incite and mobilize populations, followed by specific directions for carrying out the killings.

We should be mindful not to invite backlash against white 20 something pot smokers by rushing to judgment. We should understand his rage first.

I really can't think of a more disgusting, pathetic thing for someone to say on a day when Democrats are mourning the loss of a talented and dedicated leader who had great potential for service to her country.

She's not dead.
(I don't really know if she can continue to serve, however.)

I was watching this thread. You were the first one to make an explicit political post and then followed it up with your "updates".
