Put Americans back to work.

Next week take off everything not made in america. This could get ugly...

All of the best linens, sheets, towels, cotton fabric used to be made in America. I collect new, old stock percale...nothing like it.

I have heard that all the old school high end American textile companies that made the great towels have stopped because of the cheaper imports, despite the quality being inferior. I'll gladly pay extra for a towel that lasts a decade. I guess I am in the minority.

Buy a BMW made in USA or buy a Ford made in Mexico?

Not so black and white, is it.

I often see undershirts, socks etc. sold side by side in stores, one made in Mexico one made in USA, almost the same price and often by the same company. Go figure.

My new Ford F150 was manufactured (very well) in Dearborn. Don't know where all the parts were made though.

It is not about black & white. Read the stories and the links to related stories.

There are many American made jeans selling at the same price as any other brand. It can be done. What I don't understand is why isn't it?

I do like the satisfaction of buying things made here. But that's the cake's icing, not the cake.

Spock, where do the profits go once that BMW made in the USA is purchased? How about the Ford made in Mexico?

We blue collar Union autoworkers have fought tooth and nail to stop outsourcing. We've been against it from day one. The "suits" have other ideas for this country. Funny how those imported vehicles from the Big 2.5 aren't less expensive.

There are still plenty of choices from the Big 2.5 that are still made domestically. I suggest you consider them and boycott the outsourced junk. Keep the cash in the USA, IMO.
