Are you down with NJ flying the flag at half-mast for Whitney Houston?

I'd like to mention that I grew up in South Jersey. NJ is not just what you see on the turnpike. Many parts of NJ are full of lovely small towns which look like a place where Beaver Cleaver would live, also there are farms and seashore and the Pine Barrens and I still think the corn and tomatoes are the best. I get tired of people basing their impressions on a few stereotypes propagated by New Yorkers.

I like that SF mayor decided to fly a tie dyed flag at half mast when Jerry Garcia died.
Screw the regulations - this is one thing that I am happy to have a chief exec decide.

Those people are included in the half-staff tradition hal, should they be killed in the line of duty. They are public servants. You seem to think this tradition has no value. "Screw the rules" you say. I disagree. I think it shows great respect and is a proud tradition of honor. |
