Morning after pill
#21
I don't have a daughter but I do have a 16-yr-old son -- He has been told that if he ever needs a condom, I will give them to him with no lecture or question asked. I was going to put a three pack in his room but he told me not to bother (and his GF laughed and said "that's for sure!"

I do not want to be grandparent for some stupid politician or religious busy body ideals.

Why buy them when your kids can get them free at school and you don't even have to know what they are doing?

I gave my kids "the talk"
And condoms.

Kids are going to have sex. As a parent, it's my job to protect them.

Buy them for your children so you know what they're doing as well as they do.

Asa non-parent, I think it's cool as all get out that so many of you here have taken to being pro-active regarding this topic and not only discussing it with your kids, but also going so far as to make certain there should be no feelings of embarrassment or hesitation to ask for help by your kids. Cheers!

The abortion pill is a big hit in China.

A NY judge has ruled that girls of any age can obtain the morning after pill without prescription over the counter.

Any age? Most states have statutory rape laws for children under 16 sometimes 12 years of age. There are so many things wrong with this ruling. Parental notification? Required statutory rape investigation? Education about how to use the drug?

A girl can't even take an aspirin at school, but were to give her access to Plan-B pills?

The essence of what you're saying is that terminating the pregnancy at this early stage constitutes tampering with evidence?

Or men can get away with raping little girls.

That that's the only scenario you can envision says more about you than the judge's decision.

Look, thinking that kids won't have sex because you don't explain it to them is like assuming a kid won't play with a cool toy without reading the manual. Sex is amazing. As teens we all learned this. And hormones dissolve 1 million percent of their weight in good sense. You have to explain safe sex and ensure they have access to protection, before and after.

Or you can use the Taliban approach to sexual control. Just don't apply it to my daughter or wife.
