Any Pat Benatar fans here?

There are some performers that I never got around to go seeing and she is one. Of all things, she will be in concert on my birthday, so a few days ago, when the tickets went on sale, I got in the second they were available and…

scored FRONT row, center section tickets!*

I have been to >50 concerts in my life but only four in the last 3 years, so this should be fun. There are a few other artists that I have been wanting to see, but being super close should be cool. When I was younger, she was FAR more popular (duh) but I have always liked her songs and anymore, I prefer seeing artists that were more popular in the past as they will play smaller venues and the tickets are relatively inexpensive (these tix were $45 each).

* I have sat in the front row before: BB King 3 times; several JVC Jazz shows; Springsteen, the Stones in 1988 and Steely Dan, all once. Sitting in the 1st row spoils you!

I've always wanted to see her perform.

Getting close up seats is quite a score. I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn from probably 5 or 6 rows back at the Stanley Theatre in Utica N.Y. around 84/85.

I bet you're all fired up to be livin' the good life, getting to see your one love, true love, after so long with bloodshot eyes pining over your heartbreaker. Don't walk away that evening after payin' the cost to be the boss. You're a cerebral man, I've got papers on you with promises in the dark, that say you're invincible, even wide awake in dreamland, and that we belong at that concert before it don't happen no more...

That will be cool. i went to see Amanda Palmer a couple weeks ago and got a seat in the middle of the second row after the orchestra section—pretty close up. It really is more fun to be closer to the performer.

She is good - I saw her when she and Blondie were touring together. Enjoy it!

I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a "fan," but I did see her play a big beach club in Florida a dozen or so years back, and she definitely still had the pipes. Good show.
