I'm too darned attached to my Macs
#1
Sitting here with my ol' 2.1ghz CD Mac Pro 17". It got a bit of extra life in it because of an SSD transplant but that deal on the 2.5gh quad MBP 17" was too good to pass up. Now I am prepping the old timer for sale and even though it has it's issues, I am emotionally attached to it like all my Macs. I don't believe PC users experience this. Cry

Have you considered professional help? Nothing to be ashamed of.

Felt the same about my Gen. 1 G5 tower. But in the end it was for the best that I let it go.

As your Doctor I advise you to take a long vacation while your brother sells this stuff and parties with you parents while you are gone *(:>* Confusedmiley-shocked003:

Pc users don't experience this because their PC's are worth about $0 after three years. Or a heap of smoking wreckage.

But yes, we feel your pain. Be happy and recognize that Old faithful will have a long life with it's new User.

I never have a problem moving on. That's because as much as I love my current machine, the new one is even better. Dump the old one to help pay for the new one and wish it a nice life. Not a problem...

See, hal has rationalized this quite well. My wife is helping me with my Mac issues. It isn't easy.

totally agree with you, hal. I love all my Macs, but after getting each new one, it's hard for me to shed too many tears.
