with the exception of Timothy B and Joe, the Eagles are a bunch of angry old men.
Jackson?

Feh!

Love Jackson but haven't been following and don't know if he "still has it" in general, but he sure didn't have it yesterday. Some generous person in a facebook discussion suggested he was "overcome with emotion."

Love me some recent Don Henley interviews-- seems wise, not angry, but I guess it's popular to characterize him as such.
So you're saying Bernie is an angry old man? And the guy they got to replace Felder is an angry old man? Interesting....
Jackson was the worst of them last night, by far. Based on last night's performance, I would say he has definitely "lost it." He sounded exactly like what he was: an old man singing an old Eagles song.

I thought it was great that *almost* every former and current Eagle was able to participate - where was Randy Meisner?

I thought it interesting that Don Felder was the only one of them not to come out after the performance to take a bow - not sure what to make of that.

I believe, if memory serves me, the Dons are not friendly and neither was the 2 Fs.
But I may be mixing them up with Trump and Cruz.

Lots and lots of angry old men and women in the music biz..who cares if the eagles and Jackson didn't hit their marks perfectly..great song and they did decent justice to it..lined up and playing without a bunch theatrical clutter.

Gaga made a mockery of Bowie's material and what Bowie was and touched on nothing that Bowie was..it was clearly, as usual a Gaga, 'look at me" moment..zero of the elegance he brought. through all the characters and costumes and concept he always brought the song, properly.. It;s about the songs..a lone figure with a great voice with respect for the song would have done it...one or two songs would have done it..instead of trying to cram together everything with a bunch of technical crap they should have kept it simple and rehearsed for the song. It's all they needed to do...respect for the music is getting more and more lost in this deal.

I did enjoy the BB King tribute..not earthshaking but close enough for government work.

I love music and I don't care to meet my heroes..Prince is a dick but I love his work.

John Lennon is a dick too..a conflicted man who made some great music.

Tons of these guys and girls..nasty people and nice people and nice people..Mozart could have been a insufferable ass of a bipolar narcissist..who cares.

the Grammies and most of these shows need to clean the slate..get all the bullshit off the stage and rehearse with an eyeball on creating great musical moments...makes me sick to watch all of this peripheral garbage going on..They came close with the Lionel Ritchie moment but they tried to do way to much..Im not a great Lionel fan..more interested in Commodores..but at least they they just sung it..

that's why, to me the Eagles hit a mark..they got up and did the song..so JB didn't have his chops..who gives a fuck...great song, decent job playing it properly.

I change every day and my underwear is thankful for that.

Hi everyone,

No interest at all. Actually, no interest since Jethro Tull took the hard rock/metal grammy for best hard rock/metal performance vocal or Instrumental in 1988. Crest of a Knave, while a fine album, wasn't hard rock or metal. Some aspects of the disc were hard rock/metal but, for the most part, it didn't fit the category.

Don Felder was not there.

What are "2 Fs?"

The unfriendliness was primarily between Felder and Glenn-n-Don, although Glenn was technically the one who fired him. You won't see Felder anywhere near the Eagles while Don's around.

I really think they all started thinking "this is a bad idea" a few seconds before the song started, and didn't stop thinking it....

I know exactly what you mean but I'm glad they did it. Don't forget, these guys were a very important "campus' for California rock and roll and Pop in general..Take It Easy was an ExtreMely important song.. The tension in that band was part of the deal, legendary..as it is in almost every band..it's important.

Im pretty sure Blaise Barton was your friend who was nominated..guy's been around Chi for a while and is the current master blaster of EARS..club for engineers..no trains allowed. I didn't check but I don't think he won it. Cool though, home slice making it in a very tough business.

The following, I thought, was a wonderful moment in the show..the kids energy brought tears to my eyes.

'Hamilton' Acceptance Speech.
