Copyright Shortcuts?

I have Pixelmator and Photoshop Elements. In every way I can think of, Pixelmator is faster, better etc, but...

I still use PSE because I have used Photoshop / LE since at least v2.5, so the keyboard shortcuts are just burned into my brain.

So my question is: Are Keyboard shortcuts copyrighted/copyrightable? Why don't the newer Photoshop competitors like Pixelmator use or have a compatibility mode that would enable said shortcuts?

Command-L: Autolevel
Command-J: Duplicate layer

No. No copy rights. I think that must just be Pixelmator.

Both Affinity Photo and Acorn use many Photoshop shortcuts.
