I had been thinking of getting a new car to replace my 2006 Scion xB. I had decided to look at a Kia Soul, as it was the closest thing to the xB form factor, which I really like. Well, we went just to look at them today, and they made us what I think was a good deal and my husband convinced me to go for it. Hubby said it was end of the month, end of the quarter, and it was a rainy day with no customers in sight, so he thought this was the reason they wanted the deal so badly. I decided to trade in the Scion, even though I could maybe have gotten a little more if I sold it myself, but it was worth it not to have to deal with it.
This is the Soul! with the 1.6 turbo. It has the nav system with 8” display, Harmon-Kardon sound system, 18” alloy wheels, 7 speed dual clutch transmission, power heated seats, and even a heated steering wheel, just what I need in the hot humid Atlanta summer.
I think it has slightly less cargo space than the Scion, but it rides better, has more pick up, and is quieter, plus it has all the latest tech that the Scion didn’t, because it was 12 years old.
Here is a pic. Got rained on the whole way home, wipers work well, lol.

HA! told you deserved a new car
After you mentioned having an xB in the previous post, was going to ask if you looked at a soul, but never got around to it.
2019? My neighbor has a 2018 (looks almost idetical to yours but white) with the panoramic roof... did you get that? Think he said it was a cheap option, like $750.
10/100000 mile warranty is nothing to shake a stick at. Our silly mazdas with the 3/36 were gone in 2 years, and they now have things that should be covered under warranty that I will have to pay for... even tho they have less than 100000 miles.

Nice! I drove one before I got my Mazda3. Lots of room, but lots of wind buffet at highway speeds (physics).
JDC, what kind of issues did you have with your Mazdas? I had an 2005 MPV with the Ford V-6, that was the problem in mine. The Engine block cracked at just under 200,000 miles, so I let it go.

Lol, yeah and just after I got the BT adapter set up in my Scion. It worked pretty well, too. Oh well, maybe I can sell it on the For Sale section.
It is a 2018. It didn’t look like much was changing for 2019, from what I could research. They might be adding AWD, but I don’t really need that. I didn’t want the panoramic roof, and this one didn’t have it anyway.

I like the Soul. Really popular. Kia is the new Toyota for reliability.
