Apple Releases $200 Pro Apps Bundle for Education Customers

Apple today introduced a Pro Apps Bundle for Education that includes Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro X, Motion 5, Compressor 4, and MainStage 3 for $199.99. The software bundle is available for teachers, faculty, staff, and students at universities, colleges, and K-12 schools in the United States, as reported by The Loop. wrote:

How do they verify the purchaser is a student? Could I have one of my kids buy this bundle for me and install it on my computer or is it tied to an apple id?

Maybe just need a .edu email. That's all I needed to get AutoCAD for free a few years ago.

A question from someone who is To'ally Clueless me: are these all to do with video, photo editing? I know I could look it up, but not only am I Clueless, but Lazy. Today anyway.

Yes, mainly video editing. Logic Pro is for sound editing, and MainStage is for live music performances.
