It's Craptastic: Comcast email "issues"

No, it's not just you. Seems Comcast's crack programmers 'enhanced'
their email services.

Now, it's broke :banghead:

Do you know what the fault is? Looks like some sort of network issue from the outage map.

Muffman, looks like the email servers have been compromised or corrupted. When Thunderbird connects, Comcast's side tries to download every message stored (hundreds of them) in the account. If you try to go in on 'webmail' (comcast.net) it never connects; just sticks in an endless loop back to the main page.

Glad I'm not the only one.
Although my issues are passwords. We have one "shared" account for my wife and I, with 8 or so devices connected. Every month or so, one device, usually my MB Air will not be able to get mail, sometimes it can receive, but not send. Other devices sometimes work, sometimes not. Around the holidays we deleted all mail, and reinstalled on all devices, worked for a month, now my Air is not getting from that act, while others are fine. I suspect soon other devices will fall by the wayside, and we get to delete and reinstall again.

And another gmail vote. Although I rarely use it since I have my own domain.

I cringe at @comcast, @att, @charter, etc emails... I know its only a matter of time before poof.
