Is there a song that takes you right back to that moment in life where you feel like you are in that moment again?

Love Hurts by Nazareth. There was a girl that I hung out with in college and this song, for some unknown reason, made her clothes fall off. Every time I hear that song now my pants suddenly seem a little too tight and my wife asks why I have that far away wistful expression on my face...

There is one, but it's an embarrassingly pop 1983 ear worm that I'd rather not share.

June 1969, "Israelites". It was playing on the car radio just as my mom swerved our 1966 Chevy Wagon to avoid a car that pulled out of an intersection onto the highway. We fish tailed and then rolled over but landed on our wheels, car was totaled, we lived.

Strip, by Adam Ant. My GF in high school/college would dance and undress to it.

Lead Belly's version of "Down in the Valley", strummed and sung by my father to his children ever now and then. We sang it softly a capella at his grave site after we buried his ashes. Ourselves. My uncle later told us that Dad had taught himself to play guitar by listening to 78's of Lead Belly and picking every tune out until he knew them by heart. The song brings back joyous childhood fireside singalongs at mountain campsites. And then heartbreak at Dad's untimely passing.

James Taylor, "Fire and Rain", missing my 13 year old French girlfriend and realizing that I'd never see her again. Don't panic, I was 13 as well.

Pure Prarie League, "Falling in and out of Love with you". Realizing that my HS crush was not going to workwork ... After my buddy said "Oh yeah, she's hot. I bagged her.." Her name was Amy.

Air Supply "All out of Love" after breaking up with my girlfriend. (We got back together and were married almost 35 years ago now.)

Ave Maria... played and sung at our wedding. I still really have no idea what happened... I saw my wife coming down the aisle, and pretty much only saw her for the next few days. Nobody else mattered.

Celtic Woman "Danny Boy"... remembering my grandfather's funeral, and my red haired cousin singing the song a capella in a pure sweet soprano. As the last stanza resonated in the church, all you could hear was the sound of falling tears. She had practiced the song for two days straight before the service.
