Star Trek Discovery is so bad...
#1
That someone wrote this....

“Star Trek: Discovery is a stinking toxic fire in a rubber tire disposal facility spewing thick black plumes of noxious smoke...”

....it certainly is not anything like past 'Trek' series......more like a movie but having only seen one episode.....can't really judge how 'bad' it really is......

.....agree with assessment for 'The Orville'.......it copies past 'Trek' series and does it well but doesn't add anything new.....it is just a carbon copy with out of place 'humor' added.....

Castalia House is a Finland-based publisher that has a great appreciation for the golden age of science fiction and fantasy literature.

there's no biases there. LOL

Oh, right. Castalia House. I'm going to try to not get this kicked over to the other side. Let's just say that they have a very strong and conservative perspective. You can google "Vox Day" and "Rabid Puppies" and "Hugo" to get some background on their perspective.

Unless you have a similar perspective, I'd take most things they say with a mega-grain of salt....

Everyone has biases. Should I take all things leftist with a grain a salt?

I had no idea whether the author was left, right or in between. Don’t really care. Doesn’t really matter if you dismiss his opinion out of hand, give me your thoughts on Discovery, not the politics of the author.

Having watched the premiere of Discovery, I don’t have much hope for it. It’s like 100 people wrote the episode.

Orville on the other hand, if it drops the stupid humor, has hope.

You do realize that the conceit of Orville is the stupid humor, right?

I wouldn't hold your breath on that hope...

I know that. But after watching it, it is obvious that the show plays much better without it. If Seth has any humility he can turn Orville into something really good.

All episodes are quarantined except for the first to an online subscription? If so, my opinion of it is exactly the same as if it never existed.
