....you can have AAPL stock price appear on your iPhone.....so not necessary...

What is this iPhone you speak of? Being a partial Luddite, I have never had a cell phone..., so no app to have the stock price appear on.
I was the same. But intense family pressure forced me to agree to get an iPhone 4 for each of us. It worked out so well that I have since moved up to an iPhone 5!

What seems to be actual problem this time? I'm pretty good at dealing w/ this sort of problem solving. PM me if desired w/ the details of what's being done now to gather and post the pricing info, and the exact nature of what's occurring now to make the ticker unfriendly, and where you perceive the hiccup(s) is/are that are causing the cyberhostility. I can't fathom this not having a fairly easy, straight-forward (logic-wise, anyway) solution.

I enjoy it. It adds a bit to our sense of purpose here... our roots, if you will.
I would understand if it needed to go away, but it would detract a teensy bit from our community.
We'd get over it, sure, but it's better with, than without, if it's a solvable thing that can STAY solved.

It's b-a-c-k! Thank you to those who fixed it!

But it's not accurate and is jumping around wildly. Looks more like someone is in the process of working on it (and I thank them for that effort), but it's not fixed yet.

Looks good to me, especially when it is green.

I rarely pay it much mind unless someone says, "Hey, look at that Apple stock ticker!"

That's pretty much my sentiment.

get rid of it. We're not paying OWC enough to justify the hassle of keeping it working.
