Anyone Notice A Big Jump In Gas Price?
#1
I was on the other side of the county, (Houghton Lake) and noticed several stations listing regular at $2.99 a gallon. In my small town it's currently $2.69.

Quite a hefty jump, especially when they were $2.65 yesterday in Houghton Lake.

What's it going for in your neck of the woods?

On November 1, California's 12 cents gas tax increase went into effect. That happened.

Gas is $3.02-$3.41 locally, according to GasBuddy.

For those of us that use diesel, it's 20 cents per gallon plus a 4% increase in sales tax. Personal observation/GasBuddy, about a 40 cent increase at the pump.

I think I found the excuses for my region. :eye:

"Patrick DeHaan, in a post on the GasBuddy website, points to refinery maintenance, the Explorer Pipeline outage, low gasoline inventories and Hurricane Harvey as the reason for the spike. The website estimates prices could rise to $2.99 in Michigan, $2.95 in Indiana, $3 in the Chicago area, and $2.89 in Ohio and Kentucky."

I'd do a happy dance after filling up.

I buy gas so infrequently now, I had to go check to see what the price was.

Brent Crude just hit $60 for the first time in 18 months. Don't expect gas prices to go down soon unless the bottom falls out of the crude options.
