Collins just released a position statement...

...says next President should nominate

Doesn't say how she'll vote once McConnell does what he's gonna do.

Well, there are at least 3 GOP Senators who have been recorded on the record that once the primary has started in 2020, all should wait for the Nov election to decide any next SCOTUS nominee.

If Romney were to join that coalition, it would be enough.

Is there any GOP backbone left?

I trust zero of them, well maybe except Lisa Murkowski, who voted against moving forward with Kavanaugh and "present" on his confirmation.

Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Senate judiciary committee, is a gutless flip flopper. He'll do whatever Trump says.

At this stage I think it's likely that McConnell can get his simple majority, which is all he needs, and put a Trump horror show on the SCOTUS for the next 30 years.

Graham in 2016:

"I want you to use my words against me. If there's a Republican president [elected] in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of
first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said let's let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination."
Video too, here.

Chuck Grassley has made a similar statement previously, he and Romney are the two most likely GOP Senators to stand by their word.

But Graham also said all those bad things about Trump before he was elected... and then reversed himself and would not stop kissing Trump's ass.

There's several videos of Graham saying that he would oppose nominating a justice after the primaries of 2020 began. They are worth nothing.
