Obama hosted it there. A good time was had by all. Trump is just craven to fill his pockets and to show off.

Pres. Trump sure is whiny when he doesn’t get his way. At least he gave it up quickly unlike the hurricane hitting Alabama thing.

BTW, everything we’ve seen of Trump these past few years suggests strongly that driving “the Hostile Media and their Democrat partners CRAZY” is a feature, not a bug, to this administration.

Which leads me to believe that someone on his side got his ear and told him how bad it looked.

To be sure, there was nearly unanimous criticism (greedy FL senators notably excepted). It would have been better if he faced criticism last year when the cat was peaking its head out of bag on this. I remember those old days when Republicans just sat around thinking, “naw, he would never do that!”

That's NEVER going to happen...

"Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a long-term pattern of abnormal behavior characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a lack of understanding of others' feelings."

Signs and symptoms
People with narcissistic personality disorder are characterized by their persistent grandiosity, excessive need for admiration, and a disdain and lack of empathy for others. These individuals often display arrogance, a sense of superiority, and power-seeking behaviors. Narcissistic personality disorder is different from having a strong sense of self-confidence. This is because people with NPD typically value themselves over others to the extent that they disregard the feelings and wishes of others and expect to be treated as superior regardless of their actual status or achievements. In addition, people with NPD may exhibit fragile egos, an inability to tolerate criticism, and a tendency to belittle others in an attempt to validate their own superiority."

"Therapy is often difficult as people frequently do not consider themselves to have a problem."

I had forgotten that Obama held it there, and I didn't realize there were that many suites big enough for the leaders, staff, and press.

I still picture Carter strolling out of what looks like a ranch house in the woods, wearing a sweater. I gather it's changed over the years.

The sweater? I'm sure he's changed it by now.
