I use Overcast on iOS and it does not.
Is commenting on podcasts even a thing? I learned that for one podcast to comment or DM them on Instagram but it’s not ideal. Many don’t have websites where they list episodes/have comment sections.

comment at apple some place that hosts podcasts. One that I listen to tells me to go onto apple and give them 5star.
But really the podcast 'comment section' is Twitter. That's how most communicate their feelings about podcasts and where most podcasters will respond.

Luckily I don't listen to podcasts that recommend Twitter communication. I hate that environment worse than Facebook, maybe.
So I'm guessing this is a "no," and that podcasts are inherently audio files that get published, albeit with some text allowed to be attached to it somehow.
I've noticed with at least Overcast, text that's a URL is never converted into actual clickable hypertext, but maybe that's a limitation or "safety" aspect of the app.

The most reliable place to comment, or find the proper link to send comments, is a podcast's home page. Sometimes you need to evaluate all the social media links to find the most likely portal. It gets pretty hard to know your feedback is read once once a creator gets a couple hundred thousand subscribers.

I ran both plain text searches and hashtag searches on Twitter and found one show but they barely use Twitter it seems and there's no convo happening there. I guess it's just not something the folks I listen too use. But they're on IG, and that may be because the podcasts/Youtube channals are hobby-related stuff where images are most important? I don't know.
Also, say you have a Twitter bookmark or you've hash tagged your feed to corral relevant posts. So if you post something, don't your followers now see random postings from you directed at other people?

If they have replies enabled on Youtube but no contact info on the website, that might be the way they want to get feedback. I have not created an account on IG (it's part of Faecesbook) but on most platforms there are usually ways to direct message a user that don't involve hashtags.

Direct contact usually isn't a challenge; most people who accept any sort of direct contact will list their email in their YT profile or belong to IG or Twitter, which have direct messaging built in. And of course FB does it all.
What I was wondering about was public commenting for podcast publishers. Podcasting forces them to additionally be "somewhere else" and that's where integration can become cumbersome.
For example I just listened to an episode that wasn't (yet?) "announced" on IG (yet that's where they suggest people go to, and it wouldn't make sense to comment on the episode in some other IG post ... ). It hurts engagement, as compared to say YouTube. Especially when the podcasters are asking viewers their opinions about topics.
I wonder if podcasting was intentionally designed as only "internet talk radio stations" or if lack of public commenting was an oversight. Could be a blessing of course.
