"Why I left the Democrats"
#11
Waaaaah.

This person left the Dems a loooong time ago (complaining about, among other things, the Dem convention of 1964, which of course was shortly followed thereafter by the Civil Rights Act, Medicare and Medicaid.)

Poor baby. The party I won’t sully my own perfect self with doesn’t pick my favorite candidates and doesn’t adopt every one of my idealistic policy dreams.

I’ll show them - I’ll vote Trump, or for some vanity candidate in the general. Or maybe just stay home and hold my breath til I turn blue.

"The Republicans are set on destroying America."
"The Democrats hate America."

Neither is true. They just have different views on what America should be.

For the true Republicans (wealthy), it is about increasing the wealth of the 0.1%, and maintaining power, regardless of collateral damage. A wealthy elite makes for a happy, healthy America.

For the Republican wanna-be's (rural poor and/or uneducated), it is about keeping guns, voting for the party that God belongs to, making America white again, and kicking the butt of the deep state, liberal elite Democ*nts.

For the Democrats, it is about making America fair and just. Shame on them.

I thought the gist was why women candidates don't resonate with Democratic voters, not if Bernie is Satan incarnate. Bernie took down Amy and Tulsi as well? Maybe it was more a political muscle memory of what happened last time than anything else.

She's preferable to the bank owned guy you seem smitten with and by a lopsided margin.

His previous boss governed cautiously but then he was presented with volatile economic realities that none of his predecessors ever had to face, he had to draw his own roadmap. Hopefully if elected your current sweetie will see this as an opportunity to go out with all sails flying and allow people like Senator Warren to install policy where he has none - that incidentally is just about everywhere.

When Bernie's followers view a threat, they work overtime to re-characterize that person to the public. They saw Kamala Harris as a much bigger threat than Elizabeth Warren so they pushed the concept of her being a mass incarcerator, a cop and a slut that slept her way to the top and wasn't even really Black. They characterized Warren as a usurper of Bernie's agenda. They went on the warpath against them until they were finished. Bernie never really lifted a finger to argue against those mischaracterizations. Even Bernie is afraid of his followers. They never viewed Amy or Tulsi as threats.

They turned on Andrew Gillem in Florida (who the media had described as a "Bernie Backed Candidate" until he uttered the word "affordable" healthcare. Then they turned on him and savaged him.

Where the hell does this woman get her information? The internet was full of people decrying Warren's brush off by the media. That is the media's fault for ignoring Warren AND the efforts to make them stop that. It's amazing that she has not one thing to say about the violent and insulting attacks on Warren by Bernie Bros. But, you know, the Democrats are the bad ones.

It's the media's fault that Democratic voters supported Biden over Warren? The media made Warren invisible and the media did not cover the huge wave of objections to the fact that they made Warren invisible. The writer is trying to claim that the DNC deliberately let the media cancel Warren so that Biden could win. Such nonsense.

I'm tired of this unsolicited, unrelated, unbidden transphobic bullshit.

Stop attacking trans women in this forum. It's grotesque and embarrassing. Trans women, especially Black and brown trans women, are some of the most vilified, hated, spat on, attacked, murdered, abandoned, and forgotten people in our society.

Gain some compassion and stop profiling and targeting people who just want to be able to pee in peace. It's a lie and I'm tired of hearing it here.

And I am tired of being attacked for protecting my family and my values.

What makes your values better than mine?

What is wrong with accompanying my children into a public restroom?

The party of tolerance is the quickest to turn on others and themselves.

Do you read you own posts?

They turned on
They turned on
They turned on
They turned on
They turned on

who Day?

One's the "progressive" party.

The other's the party of Trump.

Your party affiliation indicates your moral position pretty clearly these days.

I know a lot of people think that there are "objective" things - like the Bible - that do inform people about why their values are better than others. But I don't think there is any such a thing as objective assessments for validity of anyone's values. So, no I don't think what I value is more important than what you value.

But let's look at your statement, "What makes your values better than mine?" The inverse implication of that is - my (Bernie) values aren't better than yours. Do you think that way about all your values; is there no case where you think, "hey, what you are doing is so wrong that I must speak up about it and call it out for the wrongness that it is"?

The Democrats left you.

Think about it. As you get older you become more set and comfortable with your beliefs.

Some folks can sure read a lot into something that wasn't said. Did I define what a perv was?

Webster....
Examples of perv in a Sentence
an undercover officer visiting chat rooms in search of pervs preying on naive teens

Did I imply who I think a Perv is?

Nope.

I say a lot of things.

But what I am accused of is far greater than any thing I have said.

I am not one of you. Neither am I one of them?

It's 5:00 somewhere!
