US iPhone users spent an average of $138 on apps in 2020

I have an “auto-renew” on the “ Night Sky” app. $9.99 + tax. That’s pretty much it.

I think I see a way to cut that cost in half. Confusedmiley-laughing001:

I wonder if it includs subscriptions like Netflix and others as in-app purchases? I think I spend $1 a month on iCloud backup and that is it.

EDIT: I also wonder if it includes institutional purchases as well. I routinely purchase $500-$5000 of an app at a time. When you are talking 2500 iPads, even a $.99 app adds up fast.

EDIT again: How do they know if it is an iPhone user or not? I buy apps on my iPhone but use them on an iPad...

Not sure how they know iPhone vs iPad, but in my household, the iPad games are the only $$ we are spending on.

I’m pretty sure I spent nothing.

Nothing in this past year for me but in previous years I'd usually get 1 decent game per year, like Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Mario Run, Final Fantasy, etc.

Maybe $138 includes money spent in subscriptions, such as Netflix and similar.

is there a way to look up past purchases/invoices? it's actually very easy, it's in Settings on iPhone.
