…..at this point wouldn’t be surprised if Crow bought Thomas a burial plot….

And if they had to file charges, and it eventually went to SCOTUS - Thomas could not be forced to recuse himself. That is the power and accountability a justice wields.

I read about this guy Harlan in a novel from the 1930s, or at least it seems that way.

One wonders if not reporting these things (or, in essence, lying on his financial disclosure forms) is against the law.
When the Thomas housing transaction story dropped, several of the TV lawyers pointed out that there is a post-Watergate law that every federal employee must disclose real estate transactions.
Propublica covered it:
Propublica wrote:
A federal disclosure law passed after Watergate requires justices and other officials to disclose the details of most real estate sales over $1,000. Thomas never disclosed his sale of the Savannah properties. That appears to be a violation of the law, four ethics law experts told ProPublica.
It also applies to Gorsuch's land deal.
As to whether DOJ wants to go there....

Maybe if he were just a stable genius, like Dumbf, Thomas would have covered his tracks better… Of course, like Dumbf, why not just do whatever you want to do, say whatever you want top say, and not worry about it. What's the worst that could happen?
Right, nothing will happen - and therein lies the problem.

Is Thomas so hard up that he needs to be taking all these undisclosed gifts from Republican billionaires? Maybe he should post a Gofundme.

Hard up? Probably not. But one of the standard means of maintaining wealth is to use other people's money. And at that Thomas appears to be quite able to follow that approach and live in a manner to which he has become accustomed.

The only leverage I can see is the proposal to block the $10M funding to SCOTUS that has to be approved by Congress.
Are there 10 GOP Senate votes to be found?
