Apple Kills Notes
#1
Who is surprised?

"Also, say goodbye to relying on Notes to jot down your thoughts -- Journal is a new secure app for personal recollections."

My Cupertino mental image of the broccoli heads walking down the sidewalk to coffee--in a group--everyone looking at the phones tells me who thinks this is a good idea.

Notes is my goto app, I use it more than any other app. Losing them my be the reason I don't upgrade

If Journal is gonna be just a renaming, it will be OK

I use notes all the time

I use Notes a ton, too. Hopefully Journal will just make it better.

What are you talking about? Journal is a completely different app with a different purpose. They literally described how PDFs would be more functional and collaborative in Notes app in iOS 17.

Sure. Things always get better when the broccoli heads decide to "fix" an App.

Screw them! I use Notes every single day and have over 700 Notes.

Edit: I can think of a few far more unless Apps that could be gotten rid of.

Notes is going to be used to edit PDFs collaboratively now. It's not going away... but if you want to use Journal to keep the personal notes you would have kept in Notes before... you can, and it will help you write those stories...

In Contacts, one has to click Edit to make changes.

I'd like a note app that has that option.

What are broccoli heads?

All the cool kids with the non-boomer hair, no buzz cut or ring around the head chrome dome, I'm guessing.
