The ad posting talks about this bat being heavier than “normal” bats and also not permitted in a game. And says that it is a training aid a bit like ankle weights, etc. I’ve seen the weights that batters use on their bats to practice with.

This same bat made the rounds on the deal sites a few months ago.
The brand is "Cold Steel" but this bat is not made of steel. It's some sort of hard plastic polymer, more durable and versatile than wood I guess, and yet more resilient than a rigid metal bat.
