I think we should make a forum pact that states you must first either call, email or PM Larry or Jamie before posting here.
I wonder if people posted their problems at the other forum because it was the least direct confrontational method and it had the potential to build support (more than likely not) to their cause.

If one couldn't voice opinions in the forum - the forum wouldn't really be too purposeful.
We spent the last year doing a lot to try to fix a mess of things at PowerLogix. Took care of hundreds of RMAs for customers we'd had no part selling too, etc. anything PowerLogix item we sell we will stand behind. And we have. We also helped out a lot of PL customers we didn't sell to. In retrospect - didn't realize the up hill battle there - probably should have taken a different approach.

I just retired my beige as jimmypoo stated. I wasn't getting reliable performance on Firewire equipement after going to Tiger. Plus, I was missing out on some cool stuff I wanted to do with DVD equipment.
I did have the PowerLogix G4/550 clocked at 542 MHz with the system buss clocked at 83 MHz. The upped clock to 83 MHz was really unreliable until I got good RAM installed. Then the Machine was on nearly 24/7 throughout almost all of the 10.0 through 10.3.9 era. Very reliable and snappy for a machine used mostly for websurfing, email, and Office. However, now, it is time for my 1.5 GHz Mac Mini. In 4 years down the road, OWC's Ryan Rempel can help me keep that running on OS XV! LOL |
