Nitpicking the new forum: yeah, yeah, I know… “Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.” You get what you pay for, and all that
But here are my 2... 3... 4... 5... ok, 6 nitpicks about our shiny new home:
- It still feels kind of slow.
- When you're reading a thread, there's no reply box at the bottom; you have to click a button, which takes you to a separate page just to respond. SOLVED!
- The new GUI feels cluttered. There are buttons everywhere.
- Overall, there are just way too many options.
- I can’t seem to hide spoilers. Is that gone?
- Bonus gripe: whenever I paste something from another webpage, it shows up in microscopic font, like size 1 or maybe even 0. I have to remove formatting to make it readable.
I’ll stop here before I get banned, LOL.
On the bright side… “Your allocated attachment usage quota is Unlimited.” That’s actually pretty nice.

There is a “quick reply” box below each post. There is no need to click the “new reply” button, but you can.

But you still have to click it, right? And Look, I just did that and it still quotes you.

I edited it, but I am typing in the quick reply without clicking any button.
Do you see the quick reply box?
I had it backwards, the quick reply does not quote.
The new reply must be the quote one.
Well, not sure which quotes, but my point is, you don’t have to click a button to reply.
Let’s see if new reply quotes

Here is the "New Reply". No Quote.
but you still need to click something, and then you can start typing. You don't get that empty box like on the old Phorum.
And here, the new edit box shows up at the top, so if you want to check something before you finish the New Reply, you need to look down.
As I said, nit picking indeed. but old habits die hard.

You might have to enable the "Quick Reply" box in your User CP (Control Panel) > Edit Options: https://forums.macresource.com/usercp.ph...on=options
You should see the link for the User CP in the gray bar under the "Welcome back, username" (all under the OWC logo). For some reason, that User CP link is like invisible to me and I can never find it until I've clicked on my name to look at my profile, realized it's not there, and then search the page for it again! I'm sure I'll eventually remember where it is!

Maybe that’s his problem.
Good catch.
I thought it was on for me by default, but maybe not.

I would like to see buttons at the top and bottom of the forum to go to each of the three sub-forums.
Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.
