The Starbucks "bootleg latte"--Starbucks' official response

2. Why does Starbuck's think the practice is okay? What do you think their profit margin is on a $4 latte? It is frikking coffee! If you want to know how much coffee should cost try making it yourself at home (hint: it wont cost $4).
you obviously haven't made a home version of any starbucks drink, once you have tried to duplicate one of their products at home you will find that they offer a fair price for a good product.....if the profit margins were as high as you think they are, BK, Wendys, mickey dees, and every other fast food establishment would be wanting a piece of that pie...
LOL! You are obviously the type of customer that Starbuck's likes (ie. willing to over-pay for coffee). Please keep it up, cause I am a shareholder!

By the way, this whole "ghetto" this is annoying. Just say "black", "brown", or "poor" and get it over with because that's what the turn of phrase implies anyway. It's also become so diluted...

Besides, it's mostly cheapskate rich white folks who are doing this not the broke brown folk who know better and make their coffee at home or get it from the other brown person selling at the corner breakfast cart for 75¢...

Just sayin'.

That it has. As a Jewish word, the meaning has become quite diluted. Funny thing about language, slow or fast, it's always changing.

But at least people are still allowed to interpret it to their advantage.

That's not just a cheap, rich white folk thing.

There are two types of people-- those who are judgemental, and those who are liar-hypocrites.

EVERYbody makes value judgements of other people. Some just choose to lie about it.

Actually, there are THREE types of people. Those who know how to count and those who don't.

I will if you will...but then, how would we know?

It's a dilemma.

This is great. Make a post saying anything you want, relevant to the discussion or not and get blasted by someone else. Let's see what I can get here...

Are people supposed to buy something that's FREE? How would you accomplish that exactly?

Not really. I'll let you know if Trisho comes back.

Until then, you can stay away.

And how is that different from almost every post made here, elsewhere, anywhere?

Aren't forums fun.

Why would you WANT to pay for something that's free, Mike? I'm not sure why you made that post in this thread, but I'll bite: what was it you had in mind?

Are you saying that Starbucks' Venti Iced Lattés are free?!?
