My wife was making up our wishlist for the holidays and she put this printer on it; she did ask me first but I didn't do my diligence - I'd thought Lexmark was one of the good companies about supporting OS X... but there's apparently no drivers for many of their all-in-one devices.
So I'm scrambling to find something like the X8350 but supported in OS X. Ideally, something that can do everything the X8350 can do - scan, print, fax, even photos (and memory-card reader.)
Help!

I just got my brother one of HP's latest entries...I think it was the PhotoSmart C3180. Actually got it from the Apple Store...it is OSX compatible, of course.
I was really, really impressed with just the Copy function alone. It did a terrific job of reproducing some photos (both color and B&W) on the fly. Text was superb also...and I've never been too impressed with that feature on most all-in-ones (granted, unless they were laser printers).
My brother says that it prints very nice color. He loves to take pictures of sporting events, etc...so he's a little picky when it comes to the output on paper. So far, he is happy. They are also expecting in March, and are looking forward using it for getting out photos to people throughout the next year or two.
While it may not be the best...or the most feature-riches (has what you want, but possibly not a fax...can't remember) - it is the latest I have actually messed around with.

although slightly more $$ -- i would recommend the canon MP830 -- i have the previous version, the MP 780, and it has been one of the best purchases i have ever made (i bought 3 more even and made my mom buy one)
2 paper trays, 2 sided printing, borderless printing, nearly silent operation -- and it prints great on plain paper as well as it prints photos on photo paper. ADF for multi page copies or faxes as well. overall a really nice machine. the 780 doenst have the memory card reader, but the 830 does. its very well built, not some cheapy plastic thing

Apple had some rebate deals and my brother in law got the HP 5180 all in one
I have to say I was pretty impressed with the build quality - built like a tank and all
the buttons felt solid and it was very compact and had some nice features.
One nice touch was the ability to network it with built in ethernet and it also had built in card reader.
It had OSX drivers and all seemed to work fine
