Apparently Jeff Bezos is building his own top-secret space program. First public "test" today, as well as a call for rocket scientists to join his team.

Hmm.... Looks like a derivation of the DC-X program (started by DARPA, later crashed by NASA).

I like Elon Musk's (founder of PayPal) program better... the Falcon series of rockets.
The second test flight of the Falcon I is coming up within the month.

Wish them both luck though!

I think the air-lifted spaceship (Burt Rutan) is more promising for lower cost to orbit, but watching this VTOL rocket lift off and settle back was thrilling.

The more the merrier! I fully expected to be at Alpha Centauri by now. Time's a-wastin'!
