Mail Forgets Passwords

I upgraded to 10.4.11 today and instantly started having issues with Mail.app not remembering my passwords. Mail forgets them as soon as I enter them, and reenter them.
I tried running Keychain repair, that did nothing. Help! How can I fix this?

It's almost certainly a keychain issue.

After upgrading to 10.4.11, Safari started crashing on my MDD if I tried to use Tabbed Browsing. G4, MDD, Dual Boot, 2 GB RAM, Safari 3. I haven't seen anyone else complaining about this problem. I'm wondering if I can delete & re-install Safri? Where are my Bookmarks kept?
