I just tried to install Leopard on my old but faithful G4 Digital Audio. The built-in DVD drive did not like install DVD, so I used my other BenQ DL DVD drive and installed successfully.
After reboot, everything seemed working well and surprisingly very responsive. However, after few minutes, the keyboard and mouse became unresponsive. I removed anything non-essential and rebooted. It booted beautifully, but few minutes later the keyboard and mouse became unresponsive. I read in the forum that indexing may cause some problem.
Has anyone installed and running Leopard on G4 Digital Audio? I know G4 DA is not officially Apple supported platform, but I was so close to get it working.
Any help?
Thank you in advance.

have it on non-supported 800MHz QS dually, w/ no problems out of the ordinary, but installed from a FW HD instead of a DVD. it took quite a while, and I had the error log open on a second monitor, and when it would "stall" during the install, I noticed that the error log was quite active, sometimes throwing up tens, or hundreds of repetitive or recursive errors, at one point, it almost hit two thousand during a stall before continuing. after it was finally done, it seemed happy, though it didn't like the cordless Logitech mouse, so we've left a corded Logitech mouse attached ever since. the cordless works fine when booting back from the Tiger drive, and the corded gets used w/ Leopard. macally ikey kb all the time for reference. what kind of mouse & kb are you using?

Running it on a semi-supported QS 1.5 (originally 733). Working just fine. Even the SCSI scanners and iMate to ancient-but-indestructable extended II keyboard.

How well is the iMate working under 10.5? Just wondering since I have a small stack of Extended II keyboards and a TurboMouse to use and Griffin only lists compatibility up to 10.3.9.

Perfectly for the keyboard. I'm using a Logitech USB mouse, so I can't help you there.

Raz, did you have to tweak anything (i.e. disabling something, remove extensions, etc.)?
Thank you.

Nope. Just plugged it in and it worked. At startup, it did ask me to press specific keys so it could ID the kbd.
For the record, I SuperDuper! cloned my startup disk to external FW, booted from there as a test, and did an erase and install. Then a migration back. The only problems were
a) FruitMenu is dead
b) I needed to reinstall the SCSI drivers
c) migration manager didn't create groups I'd built with NetInfo
d) Photoshop Element 2.0 is dead
