Old commercial...cheapo company

I was watching a movie and a commercail came on for a company that gave you one year free rental on an available domain name.(not a download so could speed thru commercial)

Well................fuzzy in the background was a guy working at a desk using the Lamp fixture mac! Does this date the commericial or what? Out of the mothballs.

That mac was so dateable...I cannot imagine the company using the dated commercial.

That sounds like a huge scam, if the domain is available you can buy it outright for about $7/year and you don't need them at all. If you rent it from them, then that company actually owns it, not you, and can then charge you whatever they want (ie. extortion) for you to continue using it after that free first year.
