Numero Uno Breaks The Beagle Barrier
#1

First beagle to be named Best of Show at Westminster !

No silly bows or foo foo hair styles needed for this happy 15 incher

What a face. Check out his happy walk on the clip.

That reminds me - I need to pull out "Best In Show" and watch it again.

His tail was funny looking.

I wonder if he'll get hounded by the dog paparazzi.

It's a meaningless award, except in terms of money and his owner's ego.

dog's point of view.

There's bonus belly rubs and ear scratching too from what I understand.

Gosh, now EVERYONE wants to have one thinking theirs will be just as wonderfully pre-trained as Uno! Hope the shelters and rescue orgs are ready for the onslaught of discarded ones from the disillusioned owners.

And Beagles are NOT for everyone - they love to run - nose down after all the good scents in they neighborhood - baying all the way.

Winning at Westminster can be the kiss of death of a breed.

EXACTLY!

Not many know that Uno has THREE c0-owners! Hence, he has been showered with lots of love, attention, care, play and training. How many of us can realistically afford the time and energy for such a working breed?
