Seattle 'cat cam' photographs neighborhood
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: December 8th, 2008 07:35 AM

A Seattle couple hung a small digital camera around their cat’s neck and programmed it to take a picture every two minutes while the cat, named Cooper, wandered around their neighborhood.

The result is a collection of photos from a cat point of view: neighbors’ yards, busy streets, plastic flamingos and one spot where Cooper spent a lot of time bird-watching.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports the owners, Michael and Deirdre Cross, are filmmakers who turned the photos into an episode for the Animal Planet cable TV show “Cats 101.” The episode aired Saturday. It will repeat at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 on Animal Planet.

I'm not a big fan of allowing cats outdoors, but I'd like to check out that episode.

Poochie the Dog is getting one of these from Santa Claus. It doesn't shoot video; only still images every few minutes.

IF your kitty insists on being outside, get him one of these;

So you can track him down!

(I have one... love it... )

If they get the size down, I'm thinking about one of these too;

A GPS tracking unit!

And of course, the orginal Cat-Cam;

Farm kitties have to work for a living.
That would be intersting to photo, too.

But you still have to clean it! I don't mind cleaning up after Louie, because I can do it in the fresh air, and, if I fall behind, I don't have to live with the smell. You'll never convince me that "no big deal" is equal to "nothing in house to annoy." Look, Paul F., my mind is made up, so please don't confuse me with facts. Smile
