CNN reports on the Pew research group (no relation to Pepe Le)

(CNN) -- Men and women in the western half of the United States tend to marry younger than their counterparts in the Northeast, according to a new report from the Pew Research Center.

No surprise. People in the NE tend to be more focused on their career and not always in a good way.

Wow! What's that story? Sounds romantic. Any interest in sharing? Cliff notes version is fine.

I was wondering the same thing. I know in some cultures/countries with arranged marriages, the bride and groom don't meet till the wedding day.

I was 33. When I was in my early 20's, I had a girlfriend who REALLY wanted to get married. Took me 2 years to realize that there was no way I would be able to live with this woman. Besides, I wasn't really ready to be married then. Started dating my wife when I was 30, and we married 3 years later.

We met when I was 20 through a mutual friend. We needed someone to co-sign to get our phone turned on and she agreed. We dated for about 3 months I guess. Then one day we were walking downtown and I said you want to get married? And she said of course. (We had discussed it previously) Then i said, no. RIGHT NOW. She said sure. So we walked to the courthouse and got married. We had to have the receptionist and the guy who was hitting on her at his lunch break be our witnesses. Its been 17 years now.
