I'm a huge Jay fan.

It's sad to have Conan taking over, not having Jay for the summer, and the new timeslot.
I think NBC made a big mistake.

I will miss Jay too.

Conan is good for the later time slot, not the earlier time slot that Jay has (had). I think the ratings will jump up for Letterman and some for Kimmel.

Put a slash in the "glad to see him go" column for me. I won't list the reasons I don't like him, as he seems popular here and everyone's entitled to their opinions, but I can't wait for Conan.

Jay is SO unfunny, it's not funny.

hate his safe, explain-the-joke, style. hate it.

For me Leno, O'brien, Letterman and the scottish guy are funny. Fallon, Kimmel, that elf looking former MTV guy, not funny.

I guess I get to play the well-adjusted TV viewer today-- I'm happy about both developments. Although probably will not have the TV on prior to late night except for the few dramas I follow.
I wonder if watching Leno 90 minutes early and Conan an hour early will cause people to get sleepy and go to bed earlier? This could be good for the effort to reduce electricity use for indoor lighting.

It's really a question of style and personal taste.

Leno = Blue Collar (I'm just like you, but they gave me this show)
Letterman = Edgy (I'm smarter than you and I have this show)
Conan = ?

NBC screwed themselves with promises to Conan to take over The Tonight Show even while Jay was still on top, pulling in the numbers and the $$$.

I guess you can best simply quote Jay's most famous question (to Hugh Grant),

"What the hell were you thinkin'?"
