I must be missing something, but when I try to do the download from the NPR web site, iTunes asks me to log in, which I did, but then iTunes asks for a redeem code, which I don't have. What am I doing wrong?

nothing. just log in and click the redeem code button. since you used the link the code is already embedded (is my guess).

After several failed attempts it finally let me download the music without a redeem code. I did the same that I had done before but for some reason it now worked.
