I updated iTunes and decided to sync my iPad. It said there was a new version of the iPad software, so I decided to update that, too. Well it downloaded and started the to install the update on the iPad, but it hung, gave an error message and now the iPad is a brick.
I read at the Apple support discussions that I should remove the update file and re-download, but I have no idea where the iPad update file is located. Here is what they suggest.
"go to the directory that contains the iPad Software update, delete it, and then restart iTunes. Try downloading the update again. A lot of issues like this could be caused by a corrupt installer."
If anyone could tell me how to do what they suggest, I would be eternally grateful.
